It is estimated there are 300 million children worldwide who are subjected to violence, exploitation and abuse. Over 143 million of these children are orphans: children from birth to 17 years old who have lost one or both parents. These are children subject to disease, child labor and child trafficking.
Needless to add that a populous country like India is a home to several millions of orphans. About 20 million children, equivalent to 4% of the population in India (higher than people living in Delhi!), are orphans. Of them, parents of only 0.3% children have died and rest have been abandonedSince service to humanity is service to God, let us all join hands to protect and nurture the orphan Children by contributing our mite to at least a few of them.
How Can You Help?
SUPRABHA is an abode to 65 Children for whom food, clothing and shelter are to be taken care of on a day to day basis. We invite contributions in cash or kind from philanthropic minds to safe-guard the lives of these Children. We require a sum of Rs. 6,000/- per day for providing proper food, cloth, shelter and medical treatment for our children. On an average it costs around Rs. 100/- per child. Nevertheless, we are in need of donors to meet the requirements of our children at the home on a daily basis, weekly basis or monthly basis as the case may be. At present, we are not getting any grants from state or central governments or any other institutions. We would highly appreciate your kind contribution in this regard in either cash or kind.
